Personal Observations:
Collectors of the original Kenner line will probably notice right away that Agent Kallus looks like a mix of some of their old Imperial figures like the Star Destroyer Commander, Imperial Commander and AT-AT Commander. The Rebels design team did a really good job giving Kallus an Original Trilogy era look, and the fact that he comes to us as a 5POA figure, reminiscent of the old Kenner figures, makes it all the better. Agent Kallus has a very unusual and large blaster, which I'm not sure is entirely screen accurate. It seems like an odd choice for an Imperial officer. Not exactly standard issue like you would expect. But Kallus is a tough fighter though, so I suppose it suits him. His helmet is permanently attached, which is a little disappointing, but I suppose if the trade off was an ugly, poorly fitting helmet, then I'm fine with it. The only real complaint that I have with this figure is that his eyebrows were not painted in. Agent Kallus can sit fairly well, but like most modern 5POA figures, he tends to lean back a bit. He should be able to work in most vehicles, but he didn't fit all that well when I tried him out in the Inquisitor's TIE Fighter. I think that may be the fault of the vehicle design more than the figure though. Regardless, if you are a fan of the Rebels series, Imperials or figures that really capture that old time Star Wars feel, Agent Kallus is a must have! |
