Personal Observations
My first 5POA Saga Legends figure! There have been a lot of toys based on Episode III's Anakin Skywalker over the years, but this is probably the best rendition of this character that I have ever seen. His face looks quite a bit like Anakin in the movie, right down to the stern expression. I like how his legs are done in the old Kenner style, splitting the skirt and allowing him to kick or sit with ease. Unlike the original Kenner figures, this figure's legs can be seen inside when you split the skirt apart. As I mentioned, he sits really well, and should be able to pilot all sorts of vehicles from the 1970's right up to today. Even though he doesn't look very happy, I see this as my good guy Anakin, as opposed to the Mission Series Anakin that came out at the same time. The picture above at the bottom left shows both Anakin's together, and while you can't tell very well in the picture, the bad guy Anakin on the right has evil red eyes, paler skin and slightly lighter coloured clothes. Other than that, as far as I can tell, they are basically the same sculpt. One more thing about this figure that I like is how the toy makers made his left hand. Instead of the arm being one piece with a painted hand, the hand is actually a separate piece of skin toned plastic. So unlike the old Kenner figures, he won't have paint wearing off his hand from holding weapons.
