Personal Observations
The Bossk and IG-88 Mission Series set brings us our second and third bounty hunters from that memorable scene on board Darth Vader's Star Destroyer in The Empire Strikes Back. In the movie, Bossk doesn't do much more than stand there looking stiff. Thankfully, this Bossk action figure can do that and more! One of my favorite things about this figure is how well he sits. You couldn't ask for a 5POA figure to sit nicer than this. If you can fit his large feet in the cockpit, he should fit nicely in most vehicles, so you can fly Bossk off on his own bounty hunting adventures. Bossk holds his rifle pretty well, but it could have been a little better. His sculpt is good, but there are a few details that maybe could have made it better. For instance: Bossk's legs are scaly, but his feet are not. Is this accurate to the movie? I'm not sure, but it does look a little odd. I'll have to take a closer look next time I watch The Empire Strikes Back. The only other possible problem with the sculpt that stands out to me is that his head might be a little bit small. The paint job on this figure isn't terrible, but at least on my figure, it looks a little sloppy on the teeth. But these minor details aside, this is a good toy of one of our favorite bounty hunters, and is a good addition to the 5POA collection. |
