Personal Observations
Captain Rex is one of the few Rebels figures to come out in The Force Awakens line, and he is likely a must have figure for fans of Rebels and The Clone Wars. This is actually our second figure of Captain Rex in the 5POA line, with the previous one being from The Clone Wars. Rex looks pretty much like he does in Rebels with a husky physique and a serious but honest look in his face. The figure comes with two blaster pistols that fit well both in his hands and in his holsters. He also comes with his Clone Trooper helmet. The helmet looks a little large and somehow not quite right, but I'm still very glad that it was included with the figure. There is also a projectile firing weapon that comes with the figure, which for some reason I neglected to photograph. Sorry! Rex's ball jointed neck enables him to turn his head and look up like he's checking out the sky for ships, but he can't cock his head to the side or look down. I really wish he could look down a bit so he could look Ezra in the eye! Rex can kind of sit, but with a huge lean. I don't know why he couldn't have been sculpted to sit better than this, but at least he can still ride in the back of the Phantom. If you are a fan of Rebels, you will definitely want to have Captain Rex. He really is a good looking figure and is a lot of fun, but I always find myself wishing that he could sit and look down! Anyway, I hope Hasbro can find room in the 5POA collection in the future to give us another figure of this character...in Stormtrooper disguise!
