Personal Observations:
In Rogue One, Cassian Andor had quite a few costume changes, so it's nice to get both this and the brown jacket version so early on. This particular version is dressed to face some miserable, rainy weather on Eadu, but I think this outfit would also serve him well in the snow. If you look at the last picture above, it looks the costume designers for Rogue One may have drawn some inspiration from what Han and Luke wore on Hoth. This is a pretty nice figure, and like some of the other early Rogue One figures, it seems to have quite a bit more detail than many of the previous 5POA figures. The paint job on mine is a little sloppy though, so try to watch out for that. Mine has a few paint splotches on his back, and his beard just doesn't look right. No matter how I look at him, this figure just does not resemble Diego Luna, the actor who played Cassian Andor. The brown coat Cassian looks a little more like him, but I guess Diego's likeness must be a hard one for Hasbro to capture. Maybe one of the issues is that in the movie, Cassian just had a short goatee with stubble, while this figure appears to have a full, dark beard. Another thing that I don't really like is that the figure's hat is a separate piece of plastic than the head, but on a lot of the figures that I looked at in the store, the hat was glued on the figure's head crooked. I tried to look for the straightest that I could find, so mine isn't too bad. The lower part of Cassian's coat is rubbery and allows him to sit pretty well, so he should be able to fit in some vehicles, which is a big positive to me. I usually prefer when a figure has a long jacket that it be made part of the legs like Han Solo in the last picture above. I worry that if Cassian is left sitting for too long, the jacket may not go back nicely when he stands. Cassian has a nice, functional holster and a really cool looking silver blaster that he holds perfectly, as well as a zipline accessory. No one used a zipline in the movie, but in play adventures, Cassian and his friends might find this handy for some quick getaways. In the second last picture above, you can see that I swapped heads with the brown jacket Cassian figure. That head is a little loose on this body, but I think it actually looks really good. Overall, despite all my complaining, this really isn't that bad of a figure. I really do wish that it looked more like Diego Luna though, as it would have made a world of difference.
