Personal Observations
Chirrut is probably my favourite character from Rogue One, and his figure is decent, but not quite spectacular. If you look at his face from the right angle, he does kind of look the the actor who portrayed him, which as the past has shown, isn't easy to do in figures of this scale. Somehow his physique looks a little more stocky than it should, but this is probably due to the straps going across his waist and stomach, which are part of a different piece of plastic and are connected to his cape. This cape is not removable, and that sadly means that Chirrut can't sit due to it getting in the way. Too bad it can't be taken off without damaging it. Oh well, I guess Chirrut's blindness would be a problem for piloting ships anyway. Chirrut comes with his staff/walking stick and a large weapon that is probably supposed to be based on his lightbow that was seen in the movie. The staff looks great and is nicely sculpted with good paint details, but I really wish that the lightbow was accurate to the movie. This weapon is huge, and it's unrealistic to think that Chirrut would really use a weapon so massive. Personally I think it was a mistake to not include Chirrut's actual lightbow, since it's omission could mean that we will never get it. If there's one other improvement that this figure could have had, it would be for him to have one of his hands positioned differently so he could have the option of holding his staff at a different angle. I'm still very happy to have this figure, but just a few little changes could have made him so much better.
