Personal Observations:
Here is a much needed and long awaited figure in the 5POA line. We got Darth Sidious from Revenge of the Sith years ago, but now we finally have a figure of the Emperor from Return of the Jedi! This figure is so good, it almost makes me wish that Hasbro would make a new version of the Revenge of the Sith figure. The sculpt is vastly superior on this figure and his likeness is practically perfect. The Emperor comes with his cane and an extra set of lightning hands that can be attached when you pull his normal hands off. One thing about the lightning hands that strikes me as odd though is that his fingers are purple. Is that really how they are supposed to be? Anyway, I'm glad that they were included so we can act out his lightning attack on Luke Skywalker or maybe even show Supreme Leader Snoke who really rules the galaxy! As a result of the hands being removable, they can also swivel at the wrists, making this actually a 7POA figure. Interesting fact: the Revenge of the Sith Darth Sidious also had swivel wrists. I guess this is something that Hasbro feels this character always needs? The Emperor's outer robe is not removable, so while his legs can swing out into a nice sitting position, he still isn't able to sit. His head can be a little difficult to turn under his hood, but when you do manage to turn it to the side, you can see that he actually has hair sculpted on the back of his head. In summary, if you like Star Wars and you collect the 5POA line, the Emperor is a figure that you will absolutely want. Get one if you can!
