Personal Observations
For most people, Fenn Rau was the hardest to find basic figure in the whole Rogue One line. A small number of them did make it to stores, but they were nowhere near as plentiful as other figures. Eventually, a couple months after the Rogue One line ended and The Last Jedi line began, Fenn Rau became available at the online store Entertainment Earth. While it wasn't as easy or cheap as finding him in a local store, it's certainly nice to have this latest Rebels figure in hand. This figure comes at a time when there are very few new Rebels characters being made, so we are lucky to be getting him at all. As far as the figure goes, he has a really good sculpt, sits perfectly, and has a nice paint job. The blasters fit well in his holsters, and are even a bit tight. Better than having them loose! His head pivots very well on the ball joint giving him a good range of motion in the neck. The helmet does look large when you put it on his head, but there probably wasn't a way to make it smaller at this scale. The helmet in the show may be unrealistically small anyway. Most helmets in real life are bulky, so perhaps the figure is more realistic looking than the character in the show! The winged jetpack could be a fun toy for some people, but I don't really like it that much. It looks okay from the front, but it looks horrible from the back. At least that's my opinion. The wings on the jetpack do extend in and out, but only by a little bit, so I'm not sure if there was much of a point to that feature. Overall, this is a great figure though. I'm happy to have another new Rebels figure to add to my collection. Hopefully he won't be the last one!
