Personal Observations
First Mate Quiggold is one of those rare but wonderful figures of a minor alien character that isn't affiliated with either the Resistance or First Order. Back in the old Kenner days of the 1970's and 80's there used to be more non-Rebel or Empire figures, but now it's a rare treat when we get one. Quiggold is a pirate who came in a two pack with his captain Sidon Ithano, and just may be one of the nicest looking figures to come from The Force Awakens line. The set comes with a projectile firing weapon, but Quiggold himself has no personal accessories. His sculpt is really good, and while his head cannot turn, he does feature a swivel waist. I'm not sure why this was added, but it's still nice that he manages to have 5 points of articulation. Even though he has a peg leg, he can surprisingly stand better than you would think, but when it comes to sitting, he is going to need some support. In the picture above, Sidon Ithano is propping him up, otherwise he would fall backward. Due to his bulk, you probably won't be fitting him into any vehicles, unless you have a vehicle that has a large cargo or passenger section. If you like aliens and secondary characters, this is a great figure to have, but if you only collect main characters, he will probably end up being a pass for you.
