Personal Observations
The First Order Flametrooper is a really nice looking figure, and as far as great accessories go, probably the best figure from the early days of The Force Awakens line. Most figures come with just one accessory and either a buildable weapon piece or an armor piece. This guy has those, but he also has a nice two colored rifle that connects to a large, cool looking backpack. The figure itself is pretty much all that you could hope for in the 5POA line. He has a shiny helmet, he sits well, holds his weapon well and does whatever a basic action figure should be expected to do. Unlike most other 5POA figures, his legs are pre-posed in a bit of an action stance, but it's not overdone and works well with the figure. As can be seen above, my Flametrooper is the one from the armor series. Four months after it's initial release, I still haven't seen the basic build-a-weapon figure in any stores in my area. Personally, I don't really like the armor pieces or most of the buildable weapon pieces, and rarely ever use them. I would have prefered that the money used to make them be used instead on making accessories that were actually seen in the movie. But that's just me. Although the people of Jakku wouldn't agree with me, the figure itself is a beauty and is definitely a worthwhile addition to the 5POA Star Wars fan's First Order troops. |
