Personal Observations:
For The Last Jedi we get an all new First Order Stormtrooper sculpt. In the picture of the two Stormtroopers above, you can see the older figure from The Force Awakens on the left and the new one on the right. The new figure is sculpted with a new pose rather than the 'standing at attention' pose of the previous figure. While the Stormtrooper's armor looks about the same, the helmet has a bit of a different look, mainly in the mouth. The articulation of the head is much better this time around, which is a big plus for me. The more limited range of motion of the old Stormtrooper's head always bothered me. It was a ball joint that pretty much functioned as a swivel joint. The new figure can tilt his head to the side and look up and down better, so that at least is a big improvement. Another improvement is that the black circle on the figure's back is painted in this time around. On the old Stormtrooper it was left white. This Stormtrooper comes with the traditional First Order Stormtrooper blaster that can attach to his leg, and also comes with a smaller pistol. While the figure does look nice and does have some improvements over the old one, one thing that really does bother me is that he can barely sit. I don't know about you, but I especially like trooper figures to have the best range of motion that you can have for a 5POA figure, ready to jump on a speeder bike, pilot a ship, run into battle or deliver a kick to an enemy. This figure doesn't have any of that, and to me, that's a missed opportunity. The First Order Stormtrooper is still a good figure and one that you will probably want, but boy, do I wish he could sit!
