Personal Observations
This is a figure that a lot of fans have been looking forward to for a long time. For some of us it's been decades! This is our first post-Return of the Jedi Han Solo and the first of the three main original trilogy characters to be given a new figure in The Force Awakens line. Maybe it's just me, but I think this is probably the best figure of Han in the 5POA line to date. He sits really well and doesn't have all the little gadgets on his belt that get scraped up when he's forced to sit like a couple of the previous Han's. His jacket looks great and is made of a rubbery kind of plastic. It may be removable, but I don't think I'm going to try it. Han also has a working holster, which is great to have, but would have been even better if the blaster had more of a snug fit. As it is, the blaster will fall out during play due to it being such a loose fit. The blaster is also a loose fit in Han's right hand, but fit's well in his left. Han's pose is interesting, because he looks a bit bow legged, especially from the back. But in the movie when you see him walking up to Maz's castle, he does kind of have this look. Besides the blaster fitting loosely in the holster, my only other major complaint is that his hair should be a lot more grey. Overall, Han Solo from The Force Awakens is a great figure though and one that I'm happy to have. I'm glad that my Force Awakens Chewie finally has his buddy to hang around with, but for me, Han will still seem a little out of place in The Force Awakens line until new figures of Leia and Luke come to join him. Hopefully soon!
