Personal Observations
Rogue One introduced us to several new types of Imperial Stormtrooper, with the most prominant being this guy: the Death Trooper. In the movie, these tall, black Stormtroopers with the scary name seem to serve as Director Krennic's personal guards. This figure came as part of a two pack with Rebel Commando Pao, which makes sense as they were both involved in the battle of Scarif. I'm not sure if they ever came into contact with each other though. The figure, like the movie character, is tall, but also skinny. Possibly a little too skinny. He comes with his blaster rifle as well as a large projectile firing weapon that is not based on anything seen in the movie. It almost looks like he's carryinging some sort of anti-aircraft device on his shoulders. The green projectiles are a nice touch though, as they go well with the green highlights on the figure. The Death Trooper sits well, but the little compartments on his belt do get in the way a bit. They do bend, allowing the figure to sit nicely, but I wouldn't want to keep him sitting for to long out of fear that the little compartments may get permanently warped. He might be a little tall to fit in some vehicles, but he's a great figure to add to play battles and to have protecting Director Krennic. Overall, he's a good figure and is one that most 5POA fans are going to want in their Rogue One collection.
