Personal Observations
This is one of several Poe Dameron figures that was made in the early days of The Force Awakens line, and was probably the most complained about. The are a couple things that stuck out to long time Star Wars figure collectors right away. First, the helmet is not removable. Second, the visor is solid yellow, and third, there is a hole in Poe's back. The funny thing about the helmet, is that we know that a removable helmet can be done. In fact, it actually was done for the Poe Dameron figure that came with Poe's black X-Wing. Maybe it came down to a cost issue, but even if the helmet had to be permanently attached, a transparent visor would have made a world of difference. As for the hole in Poe's back, that is there so you can attach one of the buildable weapon pieces. Maybe some people will have fun with that, but I just don't like having a hole in my figure. If you can get used to these problems, and honestly I am getting used to them, this is otherwise a pretty decent figure. Poe sits nicely, has a blaster pistol that fits comfortably in his hand as well as in his holster, and for what part of it you can see, has a decent facial likeness. If only that visor didn't have to be solid yellow, this could gone from being a disappointing figure to a great one. |
