Personal Observations:
Rey (Island Journey) may just be the best 5POA figure of Rey to date. This figure has what I would consider the best likeness of all the Rey's so far, comes with several pieces of gear, removable parts and even a little added articulation. Her poncho looks a bit bulky, but I don't think there really is a way to make a removable poncho for a figure this size and have it look just right. As it is, it's decent, and it lets us have a figure of Rey in her rain gear. If you pop the figure's head off, you can see that the poncho is removable, and that she's wearing the same outfit as the Rey (Resistance Outfit) figure from a couple years ago. Despite being the same outfit, as you can see in the comparison photo above, this figure is an all new sculpt. A couple interesting things that this figure has that the other doesn't are a belt and holster that are a separate sculpt from the rest of the body, and arms that not only swivel at the shoulders but also just below the elbows. This figure does not have a staff to carry, but she does still come with the Skywalker lightsaber and the blaster that was given to her by Han Solo. This time the blaster is a little larger than the tiny one that came with The Force Awakens figure. While it isn't as easy to do, Rey's vest is also removable, giving her yet another look that she had in The Last Jedi. Thanks to the removable parts, this is almost like three figures in one! Unlike some other figures like General Leia Organa or DJ (Canto Bight) who look odd when you take off their cloak or coat, Rey still actually looks good. Rey can also sit decently, and should be able to fit inside most vehicles. A couple things to consider when buying this figure are looking for the best paint job and being aware that she comes with lots of parts that could be easily lost. My figure looks like she has a dirty face due to some paint splotches, and one of her eyes doesn't look quite right. That's the risk of ordering online rather than looking before you buy at the store! One more minor thing that caught my attention is that in the art on the package as well as in the picture on the back, it shows Rey with the poncho off. The are probably people who will buy this figure that may not realize that the figure's head can be popped off and put back on without causing damage. It's too bad that there isn't just a bit of instructions on the back of the package, showing how to easily remove the poncho. But beside all that, this is still a great figure, and is definitely one of the best from The Last Jedi to date.
