Personal Observations
Rey in Resistance Outfit was a figure that Lucasfilm and Hasbro tried to keep secret for as long as possible, due to it kind of being a spoiler. Rey has Anakin's/Luke's old lightsaber! In some places, this figure was hard to find, which is too bad, because this is one that kids who have seen The Force Awakens are likely going to want to have. In addition to the lightsaber, Rey also comes with the blaster that was given to her by Han Solo, as well as a non-movie accurate version of her staff that works as part of a buildable weapon. Rey's vest may be removable, but I don't think I'm going to try it. I don't want to risk messing up my figure! The sculpt on this figure is all I could hope for in the 5POA line. She sits decently and her face is, at least in my opinion, the prettiest looking sculpt of all the Rey figures so far. There are a few things that could have been better about this figure, but they are small. For one, her blaster might be a bit too tiny, and she has trouble holding it and keeping it from falling out of her holster. The other thing is that she doesn't come with her backpack or a lightsaber hilt. In the movie, Rey didn't actually use the lightsaber while wearing this outfit, she just carried the hilt. But since the fully extended lightsaber is obviously more fun, I can see why it was included instead. The good news is, if you have the set of four figures that Maz comes in, you already have a backpack and a lightsaber hilt that this Rey can borrow! One more fun thing about this Rey is that she is almost like an early figure from The Last Jedi. She will wear this outfit in at least part of that movie, so if you want to imagine some Episode VIII action before you've seen the movie, this is the figure you want!
