Personal Observations
This figure of Rey was hard to find for a lot of people, but fortunately I found it early in September 2015 just after it was released. Rey comes with her staff and her Jakku backpack, which unfortunately doesn't fit very well. She is a good sculpt and sits perfectly! Rey should be able to easily fit in most vehicles, and I even got her to fit on the speeder that came with a different Rey figure. I don't think the figures face totally looks like Rey in the movie, but it's passable, and she definitely looks feminine, so that's a huge plus. Hasbro has always seemed to have a bit of a problem with female likenesses, but this is one of the better ones. I really do like this figure, but if it has one thing that could be better, I think maybe her neck could have been a little shorter. Maybe it's just an issue with having a ball jointed neck rather than a swivel neck sculpt, but from the side view, Rey's neck looks a little long. Overall, Rey is a fantastic figure and is sure to go down as one of the most popular and most played with figures in The Force Awakens line. |
