Personal Observations
Sarco Plank is a really cool looking character and is one of the most detailed figures in the 5POA line to date. As of this writing, not much is know about his role in The Force Awakens other than he is a mysterious scavenger on the planet Jakku. More can be learned about Sarco from the novel Star Wars: The Weapon of a Jedi where he meets Luke Skywalker in the time between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. As you can see, Sarco has a pretty good range of motion for a figure in a long robe. He can sit nicely and can kick, but due to the bulkiness of his outfit, you probably won't be fitting him in many vehicles. The figure's head can only barely move due to the style of hood he's wearing and the hoses attached to his chest. I'm not sure if he has a ball jointed head like the rest of The Force Awakens figures, but I'm guessing not. The movement is so minimal that a ball joint wouldn't be of any use anyway. Sarco carries a really unusual looking blaster that looks like it might have a story to it. He carried it in the novel along with an electro-staff, but as of yet, how he came by these weapons has not been explained. Perhaps he scavenged them? I'm guessing Plank's role in The Force Awakens will probably be small, but he's such a great toy that I'm sure kids will enjoy creating all sorts of new adventures for him! |
