Personal Observations:
After getting no Supreme Leader Snoke figure for The Force Awakens, our first figure of him finally arrived on Force Friday, September 1, 2017. As of this writing, this figure is only available as a pack in figure with the BB-8 2 in 1 play set. Snoke is about Chewbacca's size in height, and is wearing a golden robe with a white robe underneath. He doesn't exactly look like a traditional dark side Star Wars villain, since he isn't dressed in dark colors, but he still doesn't look like a very pleasant character. Snoke has one hand sculpted to look like he's pointing at something or someone, and the other sculpted to potentially hold a weapon...always handy in case he needs to borrow somebody else's in pretend play! The white inner robe on his legs is actually separate pieces of plastic from the gold, rather than just being painted. This seems to be a common feature in The Last Jedi line. When the modern 5POA line first started in 2013, many figures hands, boots, etc., were actually separate pieces of plastic, rather than just one piece painted various colors. As the line went on, Hasbro decided to forego this for The Force Awakens and Rogue One lines. I'm personally glad this kind of design is back as it looks sharper, and eliminates the worry of paint wearing off during play. Anyway, back to Snoke! This figure has a swivel neck, which is unusual these days, but was the right decision to give him the most movie realistic look. Snoke can sit, but because of his height and bulky robes, he won't be fitting in many vehicles. He can, however, fit on his throne! Overall, this is a great figure, except for one thing: the play set that he comes in is so expensive that most kids will not be able to own him. I hope he gets re-released in a more affordable way, as kids are going to want to have the sequel trilogy's main villain.
